Choosing an events venue
If you are planning a celebration or work event, you need to make sure that you choose the right venue. The Morecambe Bay area has several great venues, but what should you be considering when you want to make your final choice?
Facilities
There are a few key questions that you should be asking your shortlisted venues. First of all, do they have a room or suite big enough for the number of people that you want to invite? If not, can the entertaining space be extended somehow, perhaps with a marquee on the grounds? You’ll need to know if they can provide the catering, but if you prefer not to use theirs, you’ll need to check that they allow external caterers to work there. If it is a hotel, find out if you can reserve some rooms for your guests in advance to ensure that everyone gets the accommodation they want.
Cost
Comparison of costs is essential, and you’ll need to compare them in relation to what they are offering for the money. For example, one might be cheaper than another but if this means that bathroom facilities will be temporary toilets in the car park you might want to reconsider. You will probably have a set budget in mind anyway for your event, so you’ll need to make sure that you get as much as you can for your money. Some venues may offer you additional services or products to secure your booking, and you need to make sure that they provide good value for money.
