Advantages of different venue types

Getting the right venue for your special event is essential. The type of venue you choose will depend on several factors – cost, number of attendees, and event type – there are so many different venues in the Morecambe Bay area to consider. So, what are the advantages of different kinds of venues?
Hotels
A hotel is probably one of the most popular options for hosting an event such as a wedding. Hotels can host all aspects of the day, from the ceremony to the evening reception. Other advantages of choosing a hotel include providing all the catering required and accommodation for guests so that they don’t have to travel after the event. They will often work with specific photographers, florists, and transport options to make recommendations. In addition, the staff that work there will have years of experience in organising an event like yours. And because hotels are often used for ceremonies, everything needed to host the party is already there.
Stately home
There are several stately homes in the Morecambe Bay and Lancashire area, and these are becoming increasingly popular for events such as weddings – it can add to the glamour and grandeur of the day. It is even possible to hold a small event at a stately home, and in many cases, they will only host one event at a time, so you and your guests will have the undivided attention of the staff. It will also look great in any photos you take of the event.
Pubs
Pubs are great places to hold celebrations such as birthday parties, and some now have event rooms where they can host a reception for a wedding or other event. The actual ceremony will probably not be at the pub but in a church or registry office. Afterwards, the guest can move on to the pub for the reception. A pub may offer some overnight accommodation, but this is likely to be limited and would probably not be enough for all of your guests. However, some pubs will also have grounds to put a marquee, so space may not be as limited as you might think.
Museums
Not all museums will have facilities for events like weddings, but some have rooms that can be hired for other events such as business meetings, conferences and workshops. Events such as these are less complex to organise, but the museum will generally have a coordinator who can help put the event together. It should also be remembered that the museum will still be open to the public, but they will be restricted as to where they can go on the premises while your event is taking place. The staff may not offer a wide range of options when it comes to catering, but lunches and other refreshments could be made available.
